After Reliance Jio User Interconnection (IUC) started charging 6 paise per minute as user fee, existing carriers also increased the prepaid plan rate. Vodafone Idea and Airtel prepaid plans are up 42 percent.
The new pricing will begin on December 3. Reliance has announced a 5 percent increase in GEO tariffs and will be effective from December.
Vodafone Idea vs. Airtel: Unlimited Bags
The most expensive plans offered by Airtel and Vodafone Idea are available at 19 bucks. Under this plan you will receive a two day period, 100 free text messages and 150MB.
Plans include unlimited Internet calls (within the operator’s network). Other operators will be charged a net charge of 6 operators per minute.
Combo recharge voucher
Vodafone Idea offers two combo recharge coupons available at Rs 49 and Rs 49. Both provide a shelf life of 28 days. The 49 rupee plan brings 100 MB of data and 38 bucks.
Calls made under this plan will be charged 2.5 paise per second. On the other hand, 200 MB of data and Rs. 64 have been provided in the Rs. Voice calls made under this plan will cost 1 by 2 per second.
Airtel also has a prepaid price of 49 rupees and 79 rupees with a 25-day period. Talktime brings 5.12 and 5 MB data in the Rs 5 plan, while the talk time with 7 MB offers 25 MB data. Airtel connections to Airtel are FUP for 1000 minutes for free, off-line calls.
Unlimited plan (28 days validity)
Airtel has three plans here, priced at Rs 148, 248 and 298, each offering a 25-day period and Unlimited Call (with FUP). The only thing that changes is the convenience.
The 149 plan provided 300 messages and 2 GB. The Rs 248 plan provides 100 SMS messages per day and 1.5 GB data per day, while the 298 plan offers 2 GB data per day and 100 SMS messages per day.
Vodafone Idea, on the other hand, offers four unlimited plans and 1000-minute FUP, with a 24-day period for off-line calls (for other networks).
The basic plan is available for Rs 149 which provides 2GB of data and 300 free local and national text messages. This is followed by a plan of Rs 249 which provides 100 daily messages and 1.5 GB daily data.
The other two plans are available at Rs 299 and 399, both of which offer 100 free SMS daily. 299 plans provide daily data with 2 GB capacity, and 399 plans provide daily data with capacity of 3 GB.
Unlimited plan (84 day duration)
Airtel has two plans that provide unlimited calls to FUP, a free subscription to Wink Music, free Hello Tunes and anti-virus.
The 598 plan offers 1.5 GB of data per day and the 2GB data is provided daily for the 698 plan. Both plans come with a validity period of 84 days and 100 free SMS per day. FUP 3000 minutes for all 84 day packages.
There are three prepaid plans from Vodafone Idea with an 84-day period. They all offer unlimited voice calls with 3000 minutes of FUP.
The original plan is available for Rs 379 and comes with data for 6GB and 1000 free text messages. Then you have a daily plan of Rs 599 with 1.5 GB and 100 free SMS. The latest plan is available for Rs 699 and comes with 2GB daily data and 100 free text messages per day.
Annual package (expiration 365 days)
Vodafone Idea has two prepaid plans that offer unlimited voice calls with a 36,000 day duration and 12,000 minute FUP.
The basic plan is available for Rs 1,499 and offers a total of 24GB of data and 3,600 free sms. The higher plan is available for Rs 2,500 which brings 1.5 GB of data and 100 free SMS per day.
Airtel has two plans with unlimited calls and a 365 day period. The first plan is available at Rs 1,498 which provides a total of 24GB of data and 3,600 free text messages during the validity period.
The other plan is available for Rs 2,398 which comes with 1.5GB of data per day and 100 free sms. The FUP on these plans is 12,000 minutes
Airtel and Vodafone Idea have increased their prepaid recharge charges by up to 12 percent. The plans were implemented on December 3rd. Reliance Jio, on the other hand, has increased its prepaid plans by up to 40 percent.
Jio’s plans will launch on December 6. One of the common points of these plans is that they all give unlimited Internet calls (calls within the same operator).
And there is a limit for calls outside the network (to other operators). After you clear your limit, you will be charged 6 points per minute.
