James Gunn has Long the symbolic olive branch by inviting DC filmmakers onto the Collection of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The manager, who is known for his fast-paced action films, has led both previous Guardians of the Galaxy movies too, where he excelled at bringing lesser-known Marvel heroes to the spotlight.
In the realm of comic book powerhouses, there are few names more familiar than Marvel and DC. Because of this, there often seems to be an unspoken competition between the two, even though filmmakers and executives inside both worlds appear eager to show there’s no blood. For instance, Gunn has worked on both Guardians of the Galaxy and DC film The Suicide Squad. Also, Marvel head Kevin Feige stopped by the set of The Suicide Squad to visit Gunn.
At a heartwarming tweet, James Gunn is taking ongoing actions to bridge his lifetime at DC with his life at Marvel. When asked by a fan if”a dc executive or director” will be welcome to a Marvel set, Gunn promptly answered. He clarified that he would like to invite any filmmakers that he”really dig[s] in the DC aspect of [his] life” on the set and follows his conversation with a streak of emojis, including the emoji of a handshake and a prayer. You can check out Gunn’s sweet tweet below:
Sure. I’d love to have @JimLee, @ZackSnyder, @PattyJenks, James Wan, @DavidAyerMovies, @ponysmasher, Walter Hamada, Chantal Nong, or any of the people I really dig from the DC side of my life visit the set of #GotGVol3. They’re invited for sure! 🤝🙌🙏 https://t.co/INZOx9nUif

Inside his tweet, Gunn also lists several DC filmmakers and creators he’d love to show around the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sets. Although his record isn’t all-encompassing, he does include familiar names like Jim Lee, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, and David Ayer. That said it is wonderful to see creatives on each side of the aisle could put aside any corporate differences and come together as job peers. Although DCEU and Marvel often appear to go head to head – mainly as both companies are set to introduce various Multiverses in 2022 – Gunn’s tweet shows only respect between both organizations.
Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Gunn has promised fans Previously that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 hasn’t had its creation or filming program affected. Therefore, it would appear that everything is on course for Peter Quill and his motley crew to patrol space once more, with Gunn in the helm supported by creatives from both Marvel and DC.
