Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life is an American drama-comedy series. It is a sequel of the famous show Gilmore Girls.

Release Date

Season One of Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life was released on November 25, 2016. The show was appreciated by critics but it received mixed responses from fans. There were some complaints of the show not meeting the standard of the original Gilmore Girls.

There have been no reports on the release date of season 2 of the show. Neither Netflix not the creators have renewed the show either. There haven’t been any talks about another season.

About The Show

Rory Gilmore gives up her apartment in favor of staying at her friends’ homes, as she has to travel a lot being a freelance journalist. In London, Rory stays with Logan with whom she’s in a no strings attached relationship, although Logan is engaged and Rory has a boyfriend. Later, she meets with Jess who encourages her to write a book about her relationship with her mother.

Emily’s husband Richard dies recently and she somehow tricks her daughter Lorelai into starting therapy with her.

After accepting her husband’s death, Emily sells her house and moves to Nantucket. Lorelai returns from her trip and then with Rory and Emily, and proposes to Luke. Rory visits her father, Christopher to invite him to the wedding. Lorelai and Luke marry in the gazebo later. Rory reveals that she is pregnant at the end of the season.

If there is going to be another season, it will pick off right from the ending of season one with Rory being pregnant and dealing with her pregnancy and Lorelai being married to Luke and their daily lives.

Cast

Although there are no details on the cast of season two of Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life, we can expect it to include Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore, Alexis Bledel as Rory Gilmore, Kelly Bishop as Emily Gilmore along with Scott Patterson as Luke Danes.
