Edge Of Tomorrow, also known as Live Die Repeat was released on 6 June 2014. The movie was a huge hit and made more than 370 million USD. It was highly applauded by critics and fans mostly because of the acting and the unique storyline.
The second installment of the movie, titled Live-Die-Repeat-Repeat is in the works. The director of the movie said that he is developing the next movie but would take a while. There is no other information available on the sequel. We might have to wait till 2022 for the release because Tom Cruise, the lead actor is busy working on the Mission Impossible franchise. Although we might have to wait even longer considering the current pandemic which has halted all productions.

Edge of Tomorrow 2 Plot
The movie is set in the year 2015 when aliens called “Mimics” arrive through an asteroid and conquer most of Europe. By 2020, the United Defense Force (UDF) achieves a victory over the Mimics. In Britain, the UDF plans an invasion of France and Major William Cage is sent to cover it.
The invasion is a big failure; Cage somehow manages to kill a large Mimic but dies through its blood. Cage suddenly wakes up reliving the previous day. No one believes him. With each loop, he becomes more and more skilled. During one of the loops, Cage tries to save Sergeant Vrataski a hero. She realizes Cage can loop time and orders him to find her in the next loop.
He is taken to Dr. Carter who explains the loop. Vrataski had this power previously but when she was wounded, she received a blood transfusion and lost her power. She asks Cage to find kill the Omega. Cage is injured and is given a blood transfusion where he loses his ability.
Vrataski frees Cage and they fly to Paris but the Alpha kills her. Cage is hurt badly but he manages to drop a belt of grenades which kills the Omega and the aliens.
Surprisingly, Cage wakes up again to fund that the loop has begun again, but the Omega is dead.
We can expect the sequel to pick off from the events of the first movie.
